We all know the major and minor aspects of astrology, and levels of importance placed upon them. But what about those aspects that are not given much importance. Looking at astrology from a perspective of Numerology you automatically take into account all divisions of the chart by numbers one to nine. But the main stream astrology focuses only on the numbers one (conjunction), two (opposition), three (trine), four (square), five (quintile), six (orb), and finally, eight (semi- square). These aspects are considered major, with the sextile, semi-square and quintile all considered minor issues in descending order. Also, when dealing with major aspects (conjunction, trine, square, opposition), some astrologers will allow up to 10 degrees for the aspects involving the Sun, the Moon, or Ascendant, but only 6-8 degrees for other planetary aspects. The least important aspects, the sextile, and sesquiquadrate inconjunct are allowed 2 degrees of the Orb. Issues rarely used, and novile Sept-Îles, are often mentioned in astrological programs to default 0 degree orb and as such will only appear in a table where an aspect of a planet, angle, etc. is accurate.
